The Sacrifice Paradox, Pt. 1

Series: The Sacrifice Paradox

The very nature of sacrifice implies difficulty--giving something of value up for some other thing.

How then can the Psalmist write something like “I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy" in Psalm 27:6?

Joy and sacrifice do not seem to mix, thereby forming a paradox, in the preacher's estimation.

This first part deals with the meaning of sacrifice, sacrifice of the Ancients, and sacrifice under the Law of Moses.

The second part will be presented next week, September 12, and will deal with sacrifice under the Law of Christ, as well as practical applications regardin sacrifices today.
