The Higher Ways of God
If God wanted the Israelites to inherit the land of Canaan--the land promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob--why did He not just give it to them, as we would present a gift today? Why did it take hundreds of years? Why did the Hebrews become slave captives in the land of Egypt? Why the plagues? Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart? If He could harden it, why did He not just soften it? Why did He lead them in such a weird way through the wilderness?
God didn't accomplish his purpose(s) the way we might have tried. We should thank Him every day that He doesn't do things our way. If He did, we'd be in a heap o' trouble.
This lesson explores how God's ways and thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts, by looking at the reasons He gives in Exodus 2-14.
